Our Students
St. Jude Mission School believes that every child is a child of God and is invited to develop a personal relationship with him. Our Catholic faith is intertwined within the entire learning process and provides many opportunities for prayer, worship, and community service. Our goal is to assist our students in developing the skills needed to become responsible citizens and in recognizing Christ as the source of all Faith, Hope and Love.
Our students attend weekly Mass throughout the school year. Our students volunteer to actively participate in the Mass as altar servers and readers. With the help of our Presit and Deacons, they provide orientation and practice sessions to the students who wish to become servers.
At each grade level students are given the opportunity to participate in leading prayer at the beginning of the school day and during other liturgical activities.
As a Catholic School, students are prepared to receive various sacraments (which may include Baptism), Reconciliation and Holy Communion. When preparing the student to receive the sacraments, each student develops an understanding of Christ’s compassionate, unconditional love for them and his desire to forgive us when we are truly sorry and asks for his forgiveness. Students receive their First Holy Communion at Holy Mass in spring.
